An activity with a difference, for anyone who’d like to learn more about wild-food. Expert Geoff Dann will lead you on a foraging expedition around the beautiful grounds, discovering a variety of edible plants and fungi. Then back to the manor for a 2-course lunch, followed by a workshop and tea and cake to finish. Places are limited to 20; book early to avoid disappointment.
Geoff Dann is one of the UK’s leading experts on wild food and his recently released book, ‘Edible Mushrooms: A forager’s guide to the wild fungi of Britain and Europe’ is the first comprehensive book on British fungi foraging to be published since 1878. He is the only full-time foraging tutor in the UK, and has been teaching people to forage for wild fungi and plants since 2010, and has personal experience of eating over 300 species of British wild fungi.
